Sandhill Crane Portrait Seldom do I get close enough to capture a portrait of a Sandhill Crane. Finally, my day came while visiting far northern Illinois near Lake Zurich. This image is by far the closest and clearest Sandhill Crane I have ever captured. Hopefully, I will be able to back to the lake while the Sandhills are here.
