Raindrops on a Day Lily Sometimes the best images on a rainy day are up close and personal. This Day Lily was loving the nice warm rain. The 50mm f/1.4 lens allowed me to get just the right depth of field. F/4 might seem a bit too much; remember the 2.7 crop factor on the Nikon 1 V3 make the 50mm into a 135mm equivalent.

Day Lily After this morning’s rain, the day turned cloudy and grey. Still, the flat light coming through the clouds provided an opportunity to saturate the colors in the flowers.
