Illinois Horse Farm  And, those horses are Clydesdales; a draught horse breed from the farm horses of Clydesdale, Scotland.  Although originally one of the smaller breeds of draught horses, it’s now a tall breed; often bay in color with white markings.  The breed was originally used for agriculture and haulage.  Today, they’re still used for draught purposes.  Of course, the Budweiser Clydesdales are some of the most famous Clydesdales.

Polo Anyone?

Polo Anyone?

Polo Anyone?  Today’s polo games were just a couple of miles from my house.  I have driven by the polo field many times but never stopped until now.  It’s a private field, but today it hosted a charity event and women’s polo competition.  Polo people know how to have fun.  They dress up, have raffles, bring the family, and camp out on the field for the afternoon.  Of course, you must love horses.
