Homebuilt Floatplane Evening at the Seaplane Base during Air Adventure is usually a quiet retreat from the non-stop activities at Oshkosh. This float plane is slowly water taxiing out to the lake before takeoff. As the sun sets to the west, just patches of light shine through the trees.

FiFi & Doc Before Oshkosh this year, 50 years had passed since B-29s have flown together in formation. FiFi has been flying for quite a few years. Doc flew again after restoration last year. It took 17 years to restore Doc to airworthiness condition. This flyover at Oshkosh was the first time they flew together.

The Blue Angels Saturday’s air show at Oshkosh featured perfect weather and the Blue Angels. The Blue Angels was formed in 1946 making it the oldest formal flying aerobatics team in the USA. The Blue Angels’ Navy and Marine pilots fly the F/A-18 Hornet.
