Walkabout Sunset Tonight’s walkabout was just a bit late. Saw a nice muskrat but he saw me too and decided to become an underwater swimmer. Perhaps, another walkabout will yield a nice muskrat image.

Wolf The wolves from WolfPark can sometimes show very dramatic features. WolfPark is a unique place dedicated to wolves and their habitat. It’s one of just a very few places I’ve gone to capture captive images. Their mission statement reads: Wolf Park is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to behavioral research, education and conservation, with the objective of improving the public’s understanding of wolves and the value they provide to our environment. If you like wolves, it’s a neat place to visit. And, the wolves are treated quiet well.

White-tailed Deer Tonight’s walkabout was a bit better than last night’s. This deer just ambled around a tree in time for a simple click.

Milkweed Pod The old walkabout path had sparse photo pickings this evening. This lonely Milkweed Pod caught my eye.

The Great Sandhill Crane Migration, currently underway along the Platte River in Nebraska, is one of the world’s top three great wildlife migrations. Upwards of 600,000 Sandhills find their way to the Platte River each year to rest and refuel for their trip to Canada, Alaska, and Siberia.
