Fall Color

Fall Color

Fall Color  Michigan’s Upper Peninsula delights with color.  This image was captured just after a rain shower with the sun peeking through the clouds.  I’ve tried to go back to the same place several different years, but without the rain on the tree trunks, it’s just not as dramatic.  A little rain can do wonders for saturating colors and increasing contrast.

CAVU above Michigan

CAVU above Michigan

CAVU above Michigan  Clear And Visibility Unrestricted; music to a pilot’s ears.  Here, flying north along the eastern shore of Lake Michigan in early September, it’s as clear as it gets in the lower 48.  Yes, Alaska can get much clearer; hard to believe until you see it.  Soon, the leaves will be turning into a kaleidoscope of color making a very different view.

Big Cat

Big Cat

Big Cat  Of course, this Snow Leopard image was captured a few years ago in a zoo, specifically, the Central Park Zoo in NYC.  Some folks are really into the big cats.  My images rarely come from captive animals.  However, I would never get an image of a Snow Leopard in the wild and they are such beautiful creatures.
