WWII Reenactors at Oshkosh A large number of WWII reenactors had an outpost in the warbirds area. The US Army, Army Air Force, Navy, and Marines were well represented as well as the British Army and, as seen here, a German Luftwaffe Officer. This fellow had to be the most colorful of anyone in the outpost. These guys amaze me. They take such pride in their uniforms and equipment. It’s 90°F in the shade and they still keep their uniforms in perfect condition. The outpost also gives a glimpse into life in a WWII encampment. They bring to life an era which could be soon forgotten; a living history lesson for the next generation!
