Everyone wants to fly the The Piper J-3 Cub on skis.  It brings us as pilots back to the basics; no moving maps, no retractable gear, in fact, not even a battery.  Yep, you have to hand prop it.  And, it has a stick, not a yoke.  Remember reading Stick & Rudder for the first time. Wolfgang must have been thinking about the Piper Cub.  The skis add a bit of spice.
