A few days later! What a difference a few days make. The willows are really turning, but the temps have continued to be cold with the highs in the 30’s. We’ll have one more snowfall.
Red-tailed Hawk This hawk was hunting again today. See how camouflaged he is! I’ll just keep trying to get a closer image.
This Red-tailed Hawk has been hunting in the woodlands in back of my house. Windy was the word for today’s walkabout. Using the bins, you could see him through the tree branches. One of these days, I’ll capture a decent image.
How about watching TV? It was a lazy Saturday and Samantha just wanted to watch cartoons on TV.
Spring is just around the corner! The lake is still frozen, but the Weeping Willow trees are beginning to turn. A year makes an incredible difference. Last year this week, it was in the 80’s and this lagoon was alive with critters.
More White-tailed Deer Wishing for Spring My walkabouts this spring have encountered more White-tailed Deer than ever before. It’s not clear to me why, except that it’s colder this spring than the last few. Could be I have increased my walkabout activity a bit too.

So, this image was captured in my office. I needed an image for the day and was playing with the Nikon 1 V1 with the f1.4 50mm lens mounted through the FT1. One the V1, it’s a 135mm f1.4 lens. So far ,it’s my favorite lens on the V1.
