Spring with Young Deer The WhiteTailed Deer have been more numerous the last few days. Today, the sun broke through as a few deer were traversing through the woods during my walkabout. You might not have noticed, but this image comes from the Nikon 1 V1. Yes, The V2 version is out, but the V1 is such a bargain now, it just made sense to try a mirrorless camera. Anyway, it has a 2.7 crop factor. So, instead of 200mm, it’s actually 540mm. It does make a difference. And, although it is a bit bigger than the P7000, it is much easier to carry in a briefcase than a DSLR. So, hopefully, it will become my carry everywhere camera. Time will tell.
